The Riverview

The Riverview is a very spacious and airy quarters, commanding the East facing side of the courtyard. It overlooks the River Barrow with far reaching views to Mount Leinster catching the morning sun beautifully. French style windows open outwards to allow guests to savour the view of the gardens and river.

This same vista is believed to have been the inspiration of the famous hymn “All Things Bright and Beautiful” written by Mrs Cecil Alexander who visited Burgage in the summer of 1848.

This apartment has two bedrooms sleeping four people – a luxurious pocket- sprung super king-sized bed in the master bedroom and a free standing cast iron bath in the en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom has two queen sized double beds and a separate bathroom with a power shower. The limed wood panelled space also features a generous open plan, well equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area, a wood burning stove with ample wood supplied for those cosy autumn & winter evenings.

The kitchen has an integrated electric oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, granite topped island, and Nespresso coffee maker together with complimentary coffee pods.
Hair dryers, towels, high quality pillows, and linen with toiletries supplied.

The entrance lobby on ground floor has a large storage space so that bicycles, golf bags, and fishing gear can all be safely kept here There is also a washing machine and condenser dryer available.
